Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes when and how you may request a refund for purchases of SiteCenter services made through sitecenter.org and sitecenter.app (collectively, the "Platforms"). It applies to consumers and business customers ("you" or "Customer").

1. Products Covered

This policy applies to paid subscriptions and one-time purchases for SiteCenter software-as-a-service products, including but not limited to website uptime monitoring, SSL certificate monitoring, security scanning, alerting, and related features offered on the Platforms.

2. Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

3. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on eligible purchases.

You may request a full refund within 30 calendar days of the original order completion date if you are not satisfied with the service, subject to the conditions in Section 5 below.

This guarantee applies to:
    β€’ First-time purchases of a paid plan
    β€’ The initial payment of a new subscription

It does not automatically apply to:
    β€’ Renewal charges after the first billing period, except where required by applicable law
    β€’ Add-on purchases or usage-based overages, unless otherwise stated at checkout
    β€’ Free trials converted to paid plans after the trial ends (the 30-day period starts from the date the first paid charge is completed)

4. Subscriptions β€” Cancellation and Refunds

4.1 Cancellation
You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time. After cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. Cancellation stops future charges but does not by itself entitle you to a refund for the current period, except as stated in this policy or required by law.

4.3 Refund after cancellation
If you cancel within 30 days of your initial purchase and have not substantially used the service in bad faith, you may request a refund under Section 3. Refund eligibility for renewals is assessed case by case and may be granted at Paddle's discretion or where required by applicable consumer protection law.

5. Refund Eligibility and Limitations

We and/or Paddle may decline or partially approve a refund request if, for example:
    β€’ The request is made more than 30 days after the eligible transaction date (unless mandatory law provides a longer period)
    β€’ The service was used extensively after purchase in a manner inconsistent with a good-faith trial
    β€’ There is evidence of abuse, fraud, or violation of our Terms of Service
    β€’ The purchase was made through an unauthorized third party

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer in your country of residence where such rights cannot be waived.

We will respond to product-related refund inquiries within 2 business days and work with Paddle to resolve eligible requests.

Processing time: If approved, refunds are typically processed to the original payment method within 14 days of approval, as handled by Paddle.

7. Free Trials

Where a free trial is offered, no charge is made until the trial ends and you confirm or automatically convert to a paid plan (as disclosed at signup). If you are charged after a trial, the 30-day money-back guarantee begins on the date of the first successful paid transaction.

8. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

8.1 Complaint handling
If you are dissatisfied with our response to a refund or service issue, email sitecenter.org@gmail.com with your order details. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and provide a substantive response within 10 business days.

8.2 Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank or payment provider without contacting us or Paddle first, the dispute may be handled as a chargeback. We encourage you to contact Paddle or us first so we can resolve the issue quickly and avoid unnecessary fees.

8.3 Governing law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of Georgia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date. Material changes will also be communicated where required. Continued use of paid services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy for future purchases.

If you have an active subscription, we will notify Paddle of material refund policy changes as required for compliance.
